Company is First Vendor to Integrate Enterprise Asset Management and Safety Management For Healthcare Providers.

St. Croix Systems Corporation today announced the release of a new software solution for healthcare providers, Safety Manager. With this application, St. Croix Systems becomes the first enterprise asset management vendor to integrate safety management into the overall management of healthcare capital assets including facilities, equipment and supplies.

Safety Manager provides healthcare providers with a computerized system for collecting, classifying, notifying, managing, assigning for corrective action, and analyzing safety issues across the health system.

This versatile solution serves as a single point of entry for hospital personnel to collect and manage information regarding issues and incidents, including those discovered during scheduled safety and environment of care rounds and common errors and events that occur more routinely in the course of every day care and operations. Additionally, the system serves as a repository for hazards, alerts and recall notices facilitating a closed-loop process which documents the hospital's course of corrective action.

Issues and incidents can be entered into the system in real-time, eliminating delays and duplicated efforts, or entered by dedicated safety personnel. Pre-defined workflows ensure appropriate staff is notified at time of reporting and throughout the corrective action process. Data from Safety Manager is aggregated for management and comparison at all levels; health system, facility, department, equipment, all the way down to a single incident type.
