BOSTON, MA - June 23, 2006 - St. Croix Systems Corporation, the leading provider of asset management, maintenance and safety solutions for the healthcare industry, announced today plans to demonstrate Version 4.2 of its Capital Asset Lifecycle Management (CALM) offering at the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) Conference and Exhibition.

Prospective customers will see first-hand a number of new modules and enhancements designed to help healthcare organizations optimize the performance of their capital assets, uncover hidden expenses, gain more visibility and control over their asset and facility operations, and improve safety throughout the environment of care.

For example, with Safety Manager St. Croix Systems will demonstrate how hospitals can implement a single-source for collecting, tracking, and correcting hospital risk and safety issues and incidents including those found during regularly scheduled environment of care rounds. Additionally, the system serves as a repository for hazards, alerts and recall notices facilitating a closed-loop process that documents the hospital's course of notifications and corrective action.

Another new module, Asset Logistics and Utilization (ALU) will utilize the centralized equipment record and enable users to strategically manage the movement and utilization of clinical assets. Designed to drive greater efficiencies in the patient care process, users can instantly determine an asset's location, condition, and in-use status. Patient assignment enables measuring and managing utilization and automatically updates billing and financial systems to capture revenue, charge-backs and respond to regulatory requirements. ALU is a perfect companion to RFID and bar-code solutions.

Asset Manager, the industry's leading maintenance and management solution, has also been enhanced to provide end-to-end integration to manage and support all associated capital asset lifecycle processes. New features in Version 4.2 that will be demonstrated include:
- Expanded Contract Capabilities: Parent/child relationship enables quick assignment of new equipment to existing contracts. Alerting capabilities to manage contract expiration dates and comprehensive contract analysis allowing users to determine dollar savings and losses associated with each contract.
- Equipment Downtime and Performance: Downtime can mean lost revenue and is essential when assessing asset utilization and vendor performance.
- Auto Purchase Order Number Assignment: When maintenance or repair requests require parts, purchase orders can be generated upon saving of the Work Order.
- Asset Location Interface: For hospitals considering RFID and RTLS auto-enabling technologies, specific fields have been developed to receive transmitted data and ensure the centralized asset records remain current with data relevant to the lifecycle of the asset.
